In association with the deviantrART site, CCP Games has announced a contest to design a new starship to be incorporated into EVE Online. Other prizes include graphics cards, iPads, Wacom tablets and more. Deadline is October 13 2010. Embed below shows how models should be scaled if submitting by video.

At PAX 2010, CCP pushed their space MMO EVE Online into the spotlight with two stunts. One is a well-made video entitled “Casuality” selling the strengths of the game. You can view it after the jump. Two is a new contest, the EVE Online Universal Glory Sweepstakes, that you don’t have to be a subscriber to enter. Prizes include a new rig and other hardware. Deadline is October 3, 2010.
PAX 2010: CCP leaks details of unannounced EVE expansion

Massively caught up with CCP Lead Game Designer Noah Ward at PAX 2010. He shared with them key features of the unnamed EVE expansion, coming this winter. He talked about improving player interaction with colonies, a new NPC invasion called incursions requiring players to band together for PVE, upgrades to the in-game social tool, EVE Gate, and an upgraded character creation system.
